Just 45 days ago fulfilling medical or recreation cannabis orders outside of a dispensary, retail store or pharmacy was unimaginable. Now curbside pickup, delivery services and pre ordering online have become the new norm, said Catherine M. Zito, CEO of Cannabis Business Solutions, Inc.
Due to COVID19 cannabis once classified as illegal is now deemed essential and regulators have relaxed fulfillment rules to encourage social distancing. "Our industry has moved forward in historical record time," said Zito. "Reports show that cannabis sales are up and consumers are buying more products in less visits." In some states, delivery services are only permitted while in others customers can pre order online to receive a text when their order is ready for pickup.
